1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of FreeResume, including our website, account features, resume and cover letter builders, resume checker, document storage, AI assistance, and related services.

By creating an account, uploading content, building or checking a document, or otherwise using FreeResume, you agree to these Terms. If you use FreeResume on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and promptly update it when necessary.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, create risk for FreeResume or other users, or are used for abusive, fraudulent, or unlawful activity.

3. Services and Changes

FreeResume provides tools for creating, editing, checking, exporting, and managing resumes and cover letters. Features, limits, and availability may change as the product evolves.

Some features may depend on third-party model providers, document-processing services, hosting providers, or other infrastructure. We may modify, pause, or discontinue any feature when needed for security, compliance, reliability, or business reasons.

4. User Content

You retain the rights you have in prompts, resumes, cover letters, job descriptions, uploaded documents, and other content you submit to FreeResume. You grant FreeResume a license to host, process, transmit, reproduce, display, and create technical copies of that content as needed to provide, secure, support, and improve the services.

You represent that you have the rights, permissions, and lawful basis needed to upload and use your content. Do not upload confidential or sensitive material unless you have all required rights and consents.

5. AI Suggestions and Resume Checks

FreeResume does not claim ownership of resumes, cover letters, or suggestions generated for you by the services. You are responsible for reviewing all content and determining whether it is accurate and suitable for your intended use.

AI suggestions and resume-check results may be inaccurate or affected by model and parser limitations. FreeResume does not guarantee employment outcomes, interview selection, ATS compatibility, or that any suggestion is unique or error-free.

6. Acceptable Use

You may not use FreeResume to violate laws, infringe rights, impersonate others, misrepresent qualifications, deceive employers, distribute malware, harass or threaten others, or create content that promotes illegal activity.

You may not reverse engineer, scrape, overload, bypass rate limits, evade safety systems, resell unauthorized access, interfere with the services, or use automated systems in a way that harms FreeResume or other users.

7. Paid Features and Billing

If FreeResume offers paid features, prices, renewal periods, usage limits, and billing terms will be shown at purchase or in the product.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. Paid features may be subject to plan limits, refund rules, and regional tax requirements. Except where required by law or expressly stated, payments are non-refundable.

8. Third-Party Services

FreeResume may integrate with third-party services for authentication, document processing, storage, analytics, model execution, email, or customer support. Your use of third-party services may be subject to their own terms and policies.

9. Privacy

10. Intellectual Property

FreeResume, including its software, interface, design, documentation, trademarks, and underlying technology, is owned by FreeResume or its licensors. These Terms do not grant you rights to our brand, source code, models, or platform technology except as needed to use the services as permitted.

11. Disclaimers

The services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, FreeResume disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, accuracy, and reliability.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FreeResume will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, business interruption, or the cost of substitute services.

Our total liability for any claim related to the services will not exceed the amount you paid to FreeResume for the services giving rise to the claim during the three months before the event giving rise to liability, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

13. Indemnity

You agree to defend and indemnify FreeResume from claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your content, your use of AI suggestions or resume-check results, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of law or third-party rights.

14. Termination

You may stop using FreeResume at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, create legal or security risk, fail to pay required fees, or use the services in a way that harms FreeResume, users, or third parties.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When changes are material, we will provide notice where required. Continued use of FreeResume after updated Terms become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
